My car battery died on the new year. I was pretty sure It was because I left the door open, in the garage, for several days. Could not find a friend or neighbor to give me jump so I looked for the closest mechanic that was open because the 2nd was still a holiday. He asked how far I lived and when I said less than 2 miles Ed said he would be right over. I asked how much he would charge and he said they did not charge to jump a car! I said, but you are coming to my house. He said, that's ok. So he came. It took two minutes to start the car. He even waited to watch the running car till I went into the house to get my shoes and purse so that I could leave and drive around a bit. When I offered the money I had put in my pocket in anticipation, he tried decline. I suggested that he buy a gift for his child. What a nice guy! Makes having a dead battery on the new year worth it.
