Just moved to PB from LA...so sweet that is...LA does have an expiration date you know, however my fantastic Audi repair did not move along with me so.... My beloved 2005 A4 cabriolet lost power as I was driving down Ingraham one fine sunny Sunday afternoon. As I limped home, all those things that pass through ones head with car trouble - trouble with diagnosing, I don't know boo hoo about cars but had enough pain in my lifetime to know if it was engine it probably wouldn't be going anywhere and some form of smoke would come out of car....If it was transmission, it definitely would not be going anywhere but yet, my car was still moving, shaking, feeling like it wanted to turn off....feeling like that CVT had lost a cylinder or something.... Called on Monday, spoke with Ron and we made arrangements for a Wednesday morning drop off. I had to jam up to LA Monday and Tuesday (I have a otro - Prius, mind you. Stop laughing at me) the first thing I did on Wednesday morning was debate - should I have AAA tow me in (I am approximately 3 blocks away from Cass St. Auto) or should I chance it? Ever the gambler that I am, yup, I limped that car for 3 blocks. Stupid of me I know but hell, let me not get ahead of myself. Checked in with Randy - I felt completely comfortable leaving my love with them and had a call from them in less than an hour. Spark plugs! Joy! Had my car back by 2 pm that afternoon. I was already crafting how to pay for emergency surgery for my baby when all it needed was some hydrogen peroxide and a bandage. Hats off to Cass St. So happy they are my neighborhood auto repair - not that I want to see them all the time, but its a great feeling knowing they are right there.
